Did you know more people become engage over Christmas than any other time of the year? Even more than Valentine’s Day, the day of Love? Well with that being said we have been doing tours daily. Many brides have expressed how they have tried other venues and their dates have already been booked. This year looks like there will be lots of weddings taking place. So if you haven’t booked a place or know someone who hasn’t and needs to, tell them to do it ASAP!

On a budget?

You and your spouse could start a new tradition….. i.e. buy a new ornament for your tree, give one another a tacky christmas sweater, or a new pair of pajamas.

Or, you and your spouse could agree to “hand make” the gifts that you will be giving to one another.

Don’t really need anything??

Why not plan a little getaway for just the two of you….

Buying a new house???

Buy something that the two of you really want for the house, as opposed to a present for each one of you.

Picture Perfect…..

Find a great photo or photos of the two of you from your honeymoon, or any time, and have it specially framed, or even make a book of your honeymoon.

Fall Wedding Tips

1. Pair bright jewel tones with fall colors. For example, pair bright pink with brown.

2. Use flowers that are in their height during fall.

3. You could incorporate pumpkins in your decorations or serve a delicious pumpkin soup.

4. Use fall foliage in your centerpieces.

5. Have a Thanksgiving themed rehearsal dinner.

6. You could hand out caramel apples as a wedding favor.

7. Have your cake made with fall colors and flowers.

Romantic Babymoon

One last honeymoon before baby arrives. “Babymoons” are quickly becoming a trendy thing to do. Hamilton House Estate is currently offering the following Babymoon Package.

Enjoy one last quiet getaway before baby makes 3, in one of our master suites. Upon arrival, indulge in fresh baked cookies, pickles, and ice cream. Then relax with a bubble bath in your private jacuzzi. Wake up the next morning with breakfast in bed followed by a prenatal massage. Then in the evening sit outside with the one you love and watch the sunset over sparkling cider and chocolate covered strawberries.

Summer Wedding Tips

Try these tips for your perfect summer wedding:

1. Get a cake with fondut icing. (regular icing will melt terribly)

2. If your wedding or reception is taking place outdoors, provide your guests with a shaded area or access to an area indoors for a break from the heat.

3. Make sure your wedding attire (dress, bridesmaids dresses, etc.) are not to heavy or hot.

4. Try serving food with a cooling effect. (i.e. fresh melon or sorbets)

5. For flowers, use fresh summer flowers. (i.e. sunflowers, calla lillies, gerber daisies, orchids, etc.)

6. For wedding favors, try beach inspired favors or fresh summer fruit (pears, watermelons, etc.) or even paper parasols that can be used during an outdoor ceremony.

Try these few tips and your summer wedding is certain to be a hit!
