Did you know more people become engage over Christmas than any other time of the year? Even more than Valentine’s Day, the day of Love? Well with that being said we have been doing tours daily. Many brides have expressed how they have tried other venues and their dates have already been booked. This year looks like there will be lots of weddings taking place. So if you haven’t booked a place or know someone who hasn’t and needs to, tell them to do it ASAP!

Wedding season is just around the corner have you booked your location? If not do it soon everything fills up quick in January especially for prime dates in May, June, July and August. Also have you got your wedding dress yet? If not don’t hurry January is when wedding dress sales take place at all the major vendors. remember this is your wedding so do what you want not what someone else wants you to do.

Ways to keep your wedding within a budget

You can cut the cost of your wedding and reception by keeping the guest list under control. Here are some ideas..

Discourage guests from bringing kids or dates. A tactful way to do this is by sending seating cards  with your wedding invitations.

• Divide your total head count into three areas, a third for the bride’s parents, a third for the groom’s parents, and a third for the bride and groom.
• Trim the people that you haven’t seen in a few years. You won’t have the time to  talk to them during the wedding anyway.
• Don’t invite co-workers unless they’re really your friends.  If you ask one person out of courtesy and you will have to ask them all.

Ask your friends for help!  Some of them might be good with decorating or picture taking.  You may also have a friend who is talented with make-up and hair styles can take the place of a professional.  You can also make your own invitations.  There are a lot of good software programs that have very nice graphics.  Delegate some of the details to friends, they want to help.

Keeping things simple lowers the cost and lessens the chance of something going wrong and causing you stress at the last minute!
